How to Become a Modern Day Polymath

Here's the thing- Becoming a polymath is all about balance and relativity. Figuring out the exact best path for yourself is a journey that only you yourself can undertake. Pursue too many things at one time and you'll spread yourself too thin, only developing a cursory knowledge of subjects. Focus too narrowly and you'll lack the breadth of knowledge that is so characteristic of the renaissance person.

Batfleck’s Batcave, Article #3- The Armory

As you can tell from the title, this is article #3 in this series about the Batcave, as depicted in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, starring Ben Affleck as an older, more grizzled Batman. Thankfully for us fans, Ben Affleck will reprise his role as the Caped Crusader in the upcoming Flash movie, opening on June 16th, 2023.

If this is the first time you’ve found your way to the site, welcome! If you’d like to start with the first article in this series, you can follow this link and get the full story on this iteration of the cave – The Terrific Minimalism of Batman’s Batcave: A Look at Batfleck’s Batcave from BvS. I’ve been super busy this week training, taking care of some things around the house, and I’m trying to practice my instruments regularly again, so apologies that this article is coming out a little later than I intended. Without further ado let’s look at where Batman stores those wonderful toys of his.

Cap’s Best Fight Moves!

The MVP of Marvel Characters

It’s been a little over a year since we said goodbye to Captain America, at least the version we’ve all come to know and love, as portrayed in the MCU by actor Chris Evans. In my daily explorations of the internet and its never-ending supply of productivity related content, I often come across sentiments dismissing the concept of “motivation”. David Goggins, the noted former Navy seal, endurance athlete, author and all-around bad ass, says “don’t be motivated, be disciplined”.

Batman and the Capacity for Self-Discipline

As a child growing up in the 1980s, my first experience with Batman was through the Superfriends animated show. After watching the show, I wanted to be just like those heroes. I vivdly remember going out in my neighborhood to patrol the mean streets of suburban Raleigh, NC with underwear proudly worn on the outside of my pants (oh yeah). I donned a blue cape (a blanket) which flowed off of my cereal and juice infused, four-year old frame. Yes, you could say I was a full-on Bat fan from the very start.
