The Code Breaker: Jennifer Doudna, Gene Editing, and the Future of the Human Race, by veteran biographer Walter Isaacson, covers a multitude of areas related to the exciting field of gene editing. Although not strictly a biography of Dr. Jennifer Doudna, the book does center on the Nobel prize-winning biochemist and continually returns to her story as she and her lab worked to discover and engineer a system that can perform genome editing.

It wasn’t that long ago that this space was merely a pipedream for me. For a long time I had wanted a space for myself, but I had originally envisioned it as a home office. I mean that’s pretty standard, right? It might even have some fun tv/video game stuff in there for when I needed to relax. But, somewhere in the neighborhood of 2013-2015, several of my interests (self-improvement, nerdery, a “man cave”, tech, working out, a need to learn new things) began to coalesce in my mind into something that would be greater than the sum of its parts.

Productivity Tools 2020

I’m always on the lookout for tips n’ tricks to up my productivity game and make it easier to accomplish more. Such is the case when I’m trying out tools to add to my productivity toolbox. Once in a while, things tend to stick around and become so indispensable, so effective, so CRUCIAL to success that I use them each and every day. I could probably live without these things, but I wouldn’t want to!

Taking Inspiration from Tony Stark’s Workshop

Design Your Own Perfect Space

It’s been well documented how crucial the first Ironman movie and Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of the hero has been to the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Time and again I come back to this movie, and although I do enjoy seeing Tony kick ass in the Ironman armor, I think my favorite moments from this film are seeing Tony designing and creating the armor and its various pieces in his home workshop. This masterfully designed workshop is housed in a truly enviable dream garage that would make Bruce Wayne jealous!
